The Sacrament of baptism is an ancient rite of initiation into the Church. In the days of old, those to be baptized would spend long periods of study, prayer, and reflection before being baptized on one of the major feast days of the church calendar. In that same tradition, our dates for baptism are: The Baptism of the Lord, Easter (either the Saturday Vigil, or Sunday morning),Pentecost, and The Reign of Christ.
If you would like to schedule a baptism, please contact our parish priest to arrange an appropriate date. As well, those wishing to be baptized (or having their first child baptized) should expect at least one meeting with the priest to include an education piece on the sacrament, and a time to go through the service in advance.
